You Know You Are From Washington When…

  1. Eating seafood isn’t anything special.
  2. The sight of Mt. Rainier is still awe inspiring.
  3. You can drive from your home to a lake, a river or the Puget Sound in 20 minutes or less.
  4. You only visit the Space Needle if you need someplace to take out of town guests.
  5. You or someone you know works at Boeing or Microsoft.
  6. You know more than 10 ways to order coffee.
  7. You measure distance in hours.
  8. You can’t make it two blocks without seeing a Starbucks.
  9. You know how to pronounce geoduck and know that it doesn’t quack or have feathers.
  10. You can tell the difference between Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean and Thai food.  (I’m not sure why this is here, since it’s hard to find really great Asian restaurants in Seattle)
  11. You can taste the difference between Starbucks, Seattle’s Best and Tully’s.
  12. It’s not a real mountain unless it has snow and has erupted within the last 200 years.
  13. You go to work in the dark and come home in the dark even though you only have an 8 hour workday.
  14. You realize no education is required to be a weatherman. Just predict, “Partly cloudy with a chance of rain.”
  15. You think summer starts in July and winter in September.
  16. You’ve used every setting on your intermittent wipers.
  17. You can endure 100 days of rain and wind but an inch of snow means school cancellations.

I’m baaaaack!

After a long hiatus from blogging (and lots of Live Poker playing), I knew I had to come back to this suffering blog of mine 🙂

I hope that with my return, I will work even harder to maintain this neglected blog and update all my friends and loved ones with my recent happenings, thoughts, etc. Facebook just doesn’t cut it when it comes to any issues I’d like to address.

With that, I wish a happy new year to everyone! Please continue to support me as I try to revive this ol’ blog.

New Urban Eats

According to NWsource, New Urban Eats feature twenty of the hottest, new, local restaurants that offer a special $30 prix fixe dinner menu. Some notables on my list are Kurrent, Qube and Red Fin.

Anyone interested in going together let me know!

A New Year Ahead…

Boy, 2007 was a great year, but not for some (Spears gets into rehab, Seattle native Sanjaya gets voted off Idol, innocent, young victims are shot down by teenage gunmen). I have been fortunate enough to meet great people and have the best of times. Of course, there have been some lows, but at this point, I can’t ask for anything more. It’s like all my wishes came true right before 2008 has arrived.

So to everyone I wish you a happy new year 🙂 Hakuna Matata!
